But here’s the part that’s easy to miss: none of it happens without our Springfield warehouse. Rent is by far our largest expense — and it’s the one thing furniture donations alone can’t cover. Your gift to the Summer Fund Drive keeps the lights on, the doors open, and families coming through them — 60 to 90 every week.

Donate Stock
A gift of appreciated stock is one of the most tax-efficient ways to support Furniture Assist. You may be able to avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation while receiving a charitable deduction for the full market value.

Tax Deductibility
Furniture Assist, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. Tax receipts are available upon request.
Our tax exemption under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code has not changed since the original ruling. We are not and have not been a private foundation under section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code since it was so classified.
