“I came to Furniture Assist because I’m basically starting all over. During Hurricane Ida, I lost everything and during that process, it seemed like I couldn’t get back on my feet. So, I finally got my life together and got custody of my daughter again and moved to Paterson and got my own apartment. Today, at Furniture Assist, I was able to get sheets, a microwave oven, a toaster oven, other kitchen items, books for my daughter and a karaoke machine — because my daughter loves to sing. So, I’m really happy about that.”
