Furniture is one of the fastest-growing categories in American landfills. Donating keeps tons of usable goods out of the waste stream and in circulation where they’re needed most.
How to Donate
Donating is straightforward — just make sure your items are on our accepted list, and bring them during our open hours. Most donations are distributed to families within days of arrival, so your furniture will make an impact almost immediately.
- Check what we accept. Download our accepted items list (PDF) before loading your vehicle. We have specific guidelines to ensure every donation is safe and useful for the families we serve.
- Arrange transportation. We do not offer pickup service. You may bring items yourself during open hours, or hire one of the transportation providers listed below.
- Arrive during open hours. Drop off your items at our warehouse in Springfield. Our volunteers will take it from there.
- Receive a tax receipt. We are a registered 501(c)(3) and can provide a receipt for your donation upon request.
Per-Visit Donation Limits
- Up to 5 large pieces — sofas, armchairs, dining tables, dressers, desks
- Up to 10 small furniture pieces — nightstands, end tables, bookcases, etc.
- Up to 15 boxes or bags of smaller items — clothes, linens, toys, dishes
Drop-Off Hours
We are open for drop-offs on the following schedule. Holiday weekends are excluded — please check our calendar page before making the trip.
Transportation Providers
We do not offer pickup service, but we’re happy to recommend providers who can help. Local providers have building access and can arrange pickup at any time. National franchise providers must be from the local franchise area to access our facility.
